Kids 12 and under can receive a free Nature Kit (while supplies last) during their visit to Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park's Nature Center. 6 SENSES NATURE JOURNALING ADVENTURE SEPT. 15

Concentrate on the senses including "sense of place" while nature journaling during the "6 Senses Nature Journaling Adventure" on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. PARK OFFICE CLOSED LABOR DAY

The San Joaquin County Parks Office will be closed Monday, Sept. 1 in recognition of Labor Day. Regional parks, including Micke Grove and Shumway Oak Grove, will be open normal operating hours, parking $6 Labor Day ($10 special parking Sept. 1). The Parks Office will resume operations Tuesday, Sept. 2 beginning at 8 a.m.

CATFISH PLANT AT SHUMWAY OAK GROVE

We have FISH! The lake at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park has been stocked with 500 lbs. of Catfish. Remember, kids fish free, $5 cash for anglers age 16 and older (valid CA fishing license required). Parking $5 cash weekdays, $6 cash most weekends.

FIRE RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN EFFECT

Fire restrictions remain in place at Dos Reis, Westgate Landing and Stillman Magee regional parks due to extremely dry conditions. Campfires, stoves and grills are prohibited both at the campgrounds and day-use areas. Propane camp stoves can be used at Dos Reis and Westgate only with water readily available, stoves must be elevated on a table or tailgate and be clear of overgrown vegetation or trees. Restrictions will remain in effect until conditions change, please check back for updates and further information. 

NEW FEES FOR FACILITY RENTALS

A new fee schedule has been implemented for San Joaquin County Parks, including facility rentals at Micke Grove and Shumway Oak Grove regional parks. Please see Rentals Page for fee changes. 

WATER PLAY OPEN AT MICKE GROVE

It's summer! That means the water play feature at Micke Grove Regional Park is now open daily! Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and it's free for park guests (parking $5 weekdays, $6 most weekends).

PICK UP AN ANNUAL PARK PASS 

Don't worry about paying parking fees every visit, get our an Annual Pass to County Parks! Just $100 gets free parking to enjoy most day-use activities at six regional parks, including Micke Grove and Shumway Oak Grove. Include a tow for a boat or watercraft for just $50 more, Passes are good for one year from date of issuance and can be purchased at the Park Office located at Micke Grove weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Questions?
