FREE KIDS ACTIVITY KIT AT NATURE CENTER
Kids 12 and under can receive a free Nature Kit (while supplies last) during their visit to Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park's Nature Center. CELEBRATE 2025 WITH POE-TREE/MUSIC JAN. 1
Start the New Year on a positive note with poetry (Poe-tree) & Music on the Trail Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Nature Center at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. Enjoy an easy, reflective walk to include poetry and music: participants are encouraged to bring a favorite poem or two (tree or nature-inspired?) to share as well as an easy-to-carry musical instrument (like flute, recorders, hand-pan). FIRST 2025 ASTRONOMY IN THE PARK JAN. 4
The Pleiades, The Hyades, Venus, Mars and Jupiter will all be on display at the first Astronomy In The Park for 2025 on Sat., Jan. 4. Ever "wonder" what's going on with some of the plants and animals in the Oak Woodland? Then join us for Woodland Winter Wonders on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Yokuts Trail, Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park. BIRDING AT NATURE CENTER JAN. 19
Join us for Birding for Boomers (and everyone else!) on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 1 p.m. at Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park's Nature Center. We’ll take time to experience the birds (and other wildlife) that wish to visit us that day, and learn about tips for birdwatching young. Bring binoculars if you have them.
