Celebrate Easter at San Joaquin County Parks
Easter is April 5, and if you're planning on spending it at either Micke Grove or Shumway Oak Grove regional parks, here's some tips to help make your visit enjoyable!
Both parks will open at 7 AM Easter Sunday: $10 parking for standard vehicles, $12 for those vehicles over 22 ft. in length. Cash is preferred at Micke Grove while Shumway Oak Grove is cash only.
All picnic shelters will be first-come, first-served; guests are encouraged to be courteous and share larger areas. As such, all first-come, first-serve rules apply including no amplified sound (to include DJs, bands or P.A. systems), no bounce houses, no trailer BBQ's (standard size grills are permitted), no caterers, no water apparatuses, no confetti, glitter, water beads or smoke bombs; no generators and no enclosed tents or large canopies (10 x 10 is permitted). Additional tables and chairs are only allowed on Easter Sunday.
Please note: there will be no in-out privileges, those leaving the park will be charged if they return. Groups are encouraged to arrive together. If park reaches capacity, entrance gates will close and may not reopen for the remainder of the day, please plan accordingly.
